It's always been a real challenge covering the patio door and we've tried everything - drapes, vertical blinds, French door curtains, etc. I think these Roman shades are going to be perfect. The beasties can look out the door without tearing or knocking things down and we can still have privacy. The window has the same treatment.

Day #235 - Shades of brown...
It's always been a real challenge covering the patio door and we've tried everything - drapes, vertical blinds, French door curtains, etc. I think these Roman shades are going to be perfect. The beasties can look out the door without tearing or knocking things down and we can still have privacy. The window has the same treatment.

OOh, these look awesome! I love Roman shades, but have never had any in my house. Did you have to measure and get them special ordered or did you find them premade in the sizes you needed? I wonder if they would do better at keeping this heat out than regular vinyl mini-blinds like we have on our windows.

Very sharp looking, and with the new floor (which looks marvelous, btw!), they look very clean and not fussy.
