When we finished planting in the front yard weeks ago, I plopped the leftover impatiens I had into pots for the deck. They're doing very nicely and add a little color too. My goofy cat statue continues the bits of whimsy we have 'round and about the yard.
They look really good! I always do that too - when I go to the nursery or garden spot, my eyes are always bigger than the rest of me and I always buy more than I want to plant. The "leftovers" usually go in pots here too :)
