Day #196 - Controlling the mighty oaks...

In addition to the $$ he earned yesterday, Michael picked another 70 oak seedlings today. At 5 cents a pop, he's making out like a little bandit in the 'job' Poppaw created for him. At this rate, Lew may wish he offered him a flat rate! ;)

Wow, he's been busy! Do you really have that many lying around on the ground?! :)

Not lying around, Stacey - actually growing from the acorns of the big oaks in the yard. They're all over the darn place!

We had a bumper crop one year in the back yard. My daughter pulled a bunch up and brought them to school to share with her classmates. I wonder if anyone took the time to plant their little seedling at home!

Tell him I'll pay him a dime for picking up all of the mesquite tree seed pods lying around my front and back yards. He'll make a fortune!

I thought about letting them grow and making them our contributation to reforestation. Is there a tax break for helping with global warming?
