Having given up on natural shadow-making sunlight, I settled for indoor lighting on my shadow (get it? shadow? lol)-box collection of Siamese kitties.
(And, of course, you knooow the sun was shining it's fool head off while I was messing around with this photo, don'tcha?? Arrggh!)
When we finished planting in the front yard weeks ago, I plopped the leftover impatiens I had into pots for the deck. They're doing very nicely and add a little color too. My goofy cat statue continues the bits of whimsy we have 'round and about the yard.
This little guy stands (sits) guard on my desk and oversees my doings. Given half a chance, my real-life kitties would be doing the same as this guy, but for now we keep it down to simply stretching out on the desk or curled up in my lap when they're around the computer.
So, today's picture was a toss-up between these flowers we just planted or the beautiful bouquet I got from my son for Mother's Day. I thought my tacky pink flamingo added a bit more interest. lol I bought the whirligig a few years ago as a joke and surprisingly have grown rather attached to the little beast. It kind of 'whimsifies' the bed - I like a little whimsy here and there.
Yay, finally got out and about a little bit today! I was looking for something bright and cheery to take a picture of so couldn't resist this colorful, whimsical gate attached to an antique shop - it fit the bill perfectly!
This little guy 'sits' guard in our guest bedroom, keeping it safe and ready for the next guest. ;)
