Well, it's that time of year, so off we went to our local fruit market/orchard today for some pumpkins to decorate with. While we were at it, we also grabbed some apples and fresh apple juice. Mmmm, mm - good stuff!One of these years I'm going to get really adventurous and cook up some fresh pumpkin for pies, breads, etc... but probably not this one.

Hi Marianne! You know I carry a couple of good scars from nearly cutting my thumb off while getting the meat off of a punkin! It's alot of work and doesn't really taste much different than the canned stuff. But that's my opinion. When you finally do try it, let us know what you think.
PS: The over 45'ers are missing you like crazy over there!! Hint...

You know, I've never been to a pumpkin patch or farm. I don't even think they have many around here. I'm horribly boring and buy my pumpkins at either the grocery or Walmart. Bah humbug on me, huh?! :)
