I've really been struggling to come up with photos this month and this one was totally uninspired and effortless. The beastie decided my cluttered desk was where he was going to lay his head, so I turned on the light and took a so-so picture of said head.
It doesn't look like much yet, he's still putting it together, but Lew finally has himself a new desk! He's been using a folding table thing for the past couple of years and I finally got him to bite the bullet and get a real one. He also got a file to match so his office mess should be a little more manageable now. After we get all the family room junk out of it, of course!
I was rummaging around in my desk drawer today, looking for something to take a picture of, and came across this pretty pen/pencil set that I forgot I had. Lord knows what else is in there - wouldn't mind stumbling across some $$ I forgot about though! ;)
... me!! Back in the day, when I worked for a living, I used to use these all the time. I still do occasionally, but mostly for notes to family, friends, etc. It's taking me awhile to use them up - I think I still have about a half-dozen pads - but I do hate to throw perfectly good stuff away! (Ha! I just checked their website and they still, after all these years, have the same design!! Unbelievable!)
This little guy stands (sits) guard on my desk and oversees my doings. Given half a chance, my real-life kitties would be doing the same as this guy, but for now we keep it down to simply stretching out on the desk or curled up in my lap when they're around the computer.
I often take my glasses off when I'm scrapping so I can "see" better when doing close work. Rather than lay them down in the mess of paper, photos, and stuff that usually covers my desk, I put them in this so they don't get lost. My sweet daughter-in-law gave me the pink quartz heart, I bought the other piece.
... there really is a desk! The sum total of my activities today.
One of the two (and a half, maybe three) piles of never-ending crap that accumulates on my desk. I thought this computer age was supposed to be paperless... what the heck happened in my house?? *sigh* It's a losing battle.
