Day 289 - Prehistoric plaything

While perusing the page between "dinarchy" and "diorthosis," I discovered "dinosaur." Slightly above that I found "dinky." So, I had Lew rummage through the kid's toybox to find...a dinky dinosaur! :)

Day 177 - Pink memories

I took a picture and shared memories of my granddaughter's dolly stroller about a year and a half ago for a Saturday Photo Hunt. Since it's one of the few pink things around the house, I did it again. :)

Day 120 - Time waits for no one...

Not so terribly long ago, we sat on the floor playing with these brightly colored cars. Now he's going to be driving one. My #1 grandson called last night, all excited with his news ... he got his learner's permit yesterday. *sniff*

Day 111 - Any boat in a storm

In weather fit only for ducks and boats, I reverted to some playfulness and asked Lew to float one of the grandkids bath toys in our driveway "lake." Staying low (and dry!) on the porch, I imagined our much-in-need-of-a-mow grass as "shore growth," and got a miniature lakeside effect. Imaginary, of course. ;)

Day 85 - An original

A different take on the spring theme, this is the grandaddy of them all - an 'original' Slinky from back in the day when they were still made of metal. This one, complete with box and still untangled and working, not only withstood my son's rough handling, but has survived the grandkids too.

Day 74 - Friends in Legoland

A fleet of creative transportation vehicles for the Legolanders who live and travel around our house... especially when 2 grandsons visit. ;)

Day 66 - Rainbow play

Favorites of our two beastie babies, we're forever finding these and other of their toys scattered 'round and about the house... if I could just figure out a way to get them to pick them up!

Day #69 - My Blue Period - 6

Every little kid needs a bucket of Legos, and my grandkids are no exception. They've been Lego-lovers since they were tiny and old enough to play with them. We have a collection we keep at our house and it's one of the first things the boys still grab when they come to visit.
