While finishing preparations in the kitchen for my siblings arrival tomorrow, I caught a glimpse of bright blue out of the corner of my eye. Grabbing my camera, I caught this blue jay going to town on an acorn (that's an oak tree behind it.) If you look closely to the left, you can see part of the squirrel that interrupted its meal and made it fly away.
I'm a nice lady with a nice hubby and 2 relatively nice cats. This is where I talk about bits and pieces of the world I live in - good, bad, and indifferent - sprinkled with love, whimsy, wisdom, and a bit of nonsense.

I'm glad you pointed out the squirrel; at first I thought he was angry at you, Marianne! Great photos.
beautiful blue shots! I am hoping to bag a blue jay sometime this season with my camera too.
Neat captures!
Very cool action shot!!
What a beautiful bird - I love how you caught him flapping his wings.
