Day 43 - Snow (he)Art

The inch or so of snowfall that greeted us this morning made a perfect canvas for the heart my guy drew for me.

Day 17 - Snowy colors

The winter we didn't have last week decided to show up today, bringing with it the expected colder temps and a fluffy, softly falling snow to cover the landscape. A dramatic change from two days ago. See another photo here.

Day #343 - And then there was none...

This tiny little patch is all that remains of the six inches of snow we had the other day. A couple of days worth of warmer temps and today's rain made it disappear real quick. Now Lew has to wait for everything to dry out so he can finish with the rest of the leaves.

Day #340 - Snow clean-up...

A good bit of the snow had melted by this afternoon, but there was still enough on the car to warrant a good brushing off before getting on the road. Nothing worse than having the snow on top of a car ahead of you blow off and smack you in the windshield!

Day #339 - Snow Day...

It's arrived a little early for our area, but our first snowfall of the season has been at it since about 8-ish this morning. The grass is still peeping through, but there's probably about 2-3 inches out there right now. Might be enjoying our first fire of the season later too!

Day #75 - March 16, 2007... WHAT???

I'm crawling under the covers and staying in bed until June!

Day #56 - Snow bud

The rhododendron in my front yard are fearlessly getting ready to do their thing in spite of the fickle and contrary weather we've been having.

Day #44 - What is this white stuff?

Hello??? The little beast didn't see his shadow!! We're not supposed to be having six more weeks of winter. We're not supposed to be getting this, this... substance! It's pretty and all that good stuff, but enough already - I want some warmth, some sunshine!

Day #30 - doo, doo, doo, Looking out my back door...

Erg! Just a dusting this afternoon to welcome us home, but still... doesn't this stuff know it's the end of January and time to get ready for Spring?
