Day 163 - The Great Weed Hunter

The mighty dandelion hunter returns victorious!

We grow 'em big here in MD - ginormous weeds! Might be the fresh, country air... but more likely the fact that by feeding the azaleas/dogwoods, we unavoidably provide hearty meals for the weeds as well! ;)

Day 105 - Field of gold

Too pretty to be a weed, this field-growing brassica (wild mustard family) showed off its cheery yellow goldness in all its glory today under our deliciously blue and sunny skies.

Day 93 - Concrete textures

I usually get annoyed when I spot a vagrant weed coming up between the concrete pavers on the walkway. Today I decided to make the most of it and took a picture of the cool textures instead. That thin arcing line hanging off the leaf is a hair!

Day 90 - Dandelion Days

Not nearly as spectacular as yesterday's cherry blossoms, and certainly not as welcome, another rite of spring is the inevitable appearance of that all-too-familiar weed, the dandelion.
